What's Up?!?!

Hey what's up guys? It's Jess Paul here to tell ya'll a little more about myself!

I'm a musician, I play guitar mainly but I do dabble in a few other instruments every now and then. I took piano starting at 8, learned some flute in 6th grade (yuk! not for me!) and then picked up guitar the end of 8th grade.

I currently attend Musicians Institute up in Hollywood Ca! It's been the most amazing year and a half of my life! I did a year of guitar playing and 6 months of guitar building (that's right...I can build my own custom guitars...and they are sooooo badass). I graduate next sat (3/22/08) at the Wiltern Theater so I'm kinda bummed that it's ending, but there's so many new opportunities for me on the rise!

This will be my 2nd college I'm graduating from. I went to Goldenwest College in Huntington Beach (where I was born and raised) for Recording Arts, Home Recording, Live Sound, Lighting and I got my AA in general education.

I've been on tour once as a guitar tech for Guilt By Association (from Mtv's Battle for Ozzfest show). We did a 2 month national tour that was so much fun.

For the last 2 and a half years I've built stages and done lighting from everyone from the Rolling Stones, The police, Mariah Carey, Velvet Revolver, Smashing Pumpkins, Kid Rock, Foo Fighters....I could go on...

I also have some touring plans in the future and cross your fingers...I may be getting paid to go travel all over Europe and see all of the awesome metal festivals over there this summer!

I currently work for music.com as well as a marketing/research intern.

Basically my whole life revolves around music.
I'm very well connected and happen to know pretty much every musician I've ever wanted to know. I was lucky enough to be born into a very musical family and lucky enough that my uncle is the badass drummer Simon Wright (Ac/dc, Dio, UFO).

Oh yea, and my favorite music is Metal/ Hard Rock/ Classic Rock and blues!
