WHAT IS PARISBFF.COM?
A chance to hang with the big show herself, Paris Hilton!  A select few users will be chosen by the voters to compete to be Paris' new pal on her upcoming MTV reality show...and who better than you?

WHAT'S MY MOTIVATION TO SIGN UP FOR THIS SITE?
You mean beyond the possibility of being Paris' new confidant?  Actually, if that doesn't convince you that you need to sign up, we don't know what will! 

WHAT'S THE PURPOSE OF THIS SITE?                                                   
Paris is in need of a new BFF who will stand by her through thick and thin....and, you know, make her laugh once in a while!  Voters will decide who deserves a shot to be a member of Paris' elite entourage!

HOW DOES THIS SITE WORK?
-Sign up and create your profile.
-Submit your own videos, photos and blog posts. 
-Convince people to vote for you!

HOW MANY PEOPLE WILL ACTUALLY GET A SPOT ON THE SHOW?
It's a surprise!  We will let you know!

CAN I BE CAST?
Of course! Be sure to get every person you know (and even those you don't) to vote for you.  Oh, and follow the rules and regulations to the letter!

HOW DO I GET CAST?
Simple:  Get the most votes and maintain the top spot! 

WHAT ARE THE ELIGIBILITY REQUIREMENTS?
The casting consists of 8 weeks of voting.  Here are the weekly requirements you must fulfill to be eligible:

Weeks 1 - 4 (March 13 to April 6) 

Upload minimum of one (1) new 90 second video answering ALL of the following:

• What is the wildest thing you've ever done? 
• If you became a celebrity, what secret would you be most fearful of having exposed?
• Why do you think you would fit in with the socialite circle?

Post minimum of one (1) blog answering ALL of the following:

• Do you consider yourself fabulous?  How so?
• What qualities make you the perfect celebrity BFF?
• What similarities do you share with Paris?  How are you different?
• It's hard to stay in the public eye.  How would you maintain the limelight?

Week 5 (April 7 - 13)

You must be 14 years of age to use the site, 18 years of age to register, and at least 21 years old to be elligible to be cast. 

WHAT HAPPENS IF I DON'T FULFILL THE MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS
If you do not fulfill these requirements by the end of the 8 week voting cycle you will automatically be disqualified regardless of vote count!  It's not like we're asking for a lot, so just do it!

WHAT KIND OF VIDEO OF ME ARE YOU LOOKING FOR?
We want to see who you are, what you're all about, why you're so extraordinary, and why the heck you deserve the public's vote.  Paris doesn't hang with just anybody, you know!

HOW LONG CAN MY VIDEO SUBMISSIONS BE?
Try to keep them under 2 minutes.  Too short and you don't get your point across..too long and the voters will lose interest, so find the sweet spot that works for you!

CAN I UPLOAD MORE VIDEOS THAN ARE REQUIRED?
Yes!  You can upload up to 5 videos per round.

HOW MANY PHOTOS DO I NEED TO POST?
You must post at least three photos of yourself, one of which must be a headshot (nice clear photo of your face). The others can be of you in any pose or setting. And remember, we want to see you, not necessarily your pets or friends....however adorable they may be.   And keep ‘em clean, please!   

CAN I POST ADDITIONAL PHOTOS?
Of course!  Just make sure you're portraying yourself in the best way possible. 

WHAT IF I DON'T FOLLOW THE SUBMISSION GUIDELINES?
You will give us no choice but to disqualify you!  I know it sounds harsh, but we've got to be fair to everyone who DID meet all the requirements.  We've had to do it in the past and it sucks, so make sure you follow the rules!

CAN I EDIT MY PROFILE?
Once you've logged in to your account, just click on ‘edit profile' to change personal account information (address, phone, tags, password).  But remember, you can't change your username so choose wisely and spell correctly!

I UPLOADED MY VIDEO, BUT IT'S NOT ON MY PROFILE.
It can take up to 24 hours for your video to be encoded and checked by our video patrol before it's posted to your account.  Make sure to follow the guidelines - it speeds up the process!

HOW MUCH DOES VIDEO QUALITY MATTER?
Again, you're trying to get votes.  So it matters!  Take the time to make your video look as good and professional as possible.  Pay attention to the simple stuff - make sure you can be seen and heard clearly.

WHEN DO I FIND OUT IF I'VE MADE IT THROUGH?
At the end of the 8 week voting, we'll contact those users who have the most votes and let them know they've won!

HOW DO I VOTE?
From the homepage, just click on the icon below a profile image.  If you're visiting a particular profile, look for the ‘vote for me' tab on the right-hand side of the page. Vote away!

HOW LONG DO I HAVE TO VOTE?
The site cycle is 8 weeks, so after that period of time the voting will close.

HOW DO WE KNOW WHO'S LEADING THE VOTE?
From the homepage, go to the ‘Who's Winning' category for a listing of the profiles with the highest number of votes. 

WHAT IF I JUST WANT TO SURF THE SITE AND VOTE?
No problem!  Just select the option for "voter only" on the signup screen and you'll be free to blog, post messages, and vote ‘til your heart's content!
